Bombshells and hand grenades.

It's been a year since I last updated my blog. SHAME. A lot has changed this past year.

I have a new and improved neck (yay!), a new house, a new job that I love and I'm currently single for the first time in my adult life. Yes, I'm 30 years old and I'm single for the first time since the pager era. Crazy.

While I know this seems shocking and sudden to most of you, I assure you, it isn't. Here's what you need to know:

1.) We're healthy
2.) We're happy
3.) The rest ain't none of your business

Moving on.

I've come to realize a few things of great importance the past few months. Your family and friends are your biggest support system when you need someone to lean on - and while you can't pick who is in your bloodline - you certainly can choose who you surround yourself with in life and friendship. These people will hold you up, wipe your tears, laugh with you and shake you down to your core when all of the above is needed. They love you unconditionally, stand beside the choices you make and don't give unsolicited advice... but if you ask - watch out, it's comin'. They don't judge the choices you've made, don't speak behind your back to others the moment you've walked away... they're just there. To listen. To love. To be.

That's quality. I'll take that over quantity any day.

My first blog

I always have a lot of thoughts rambling through this head of mine and I never really jot them down. I've been wanting to blog a while, just never took the leap. Tonight, it's all changed. Diary of a Weird White Woman has been Christened and will never be the same...

The past few days have been pretty uneventful. Halloween came and went, the weekend was relatively boring... BUT... the storm is brewing. The moon is full and we all know the crazies come out when the moon is the biggest. I'm not talking about werewolves, vampires or other fictional characters, I'm talking about full on psychosis in the human populace.

Some of the things that happen during a full moon make most normal people scratch their heads in dismay. Me? I watch with eyes wide open, hoping to catch a glimpse of rotten behavior from someone legally fingered as an adult.

So while the moon is big and bright in the sky - look around. You may see something you've never seen before. Hey, it's Atlanta. If you've seen one episode of the Real Housewives, you KNOW we have crazy!
